"Don't you wish you'd been there?" was how Colin Donald started his winning speech (A Vitrual Tour) at West Herts Speakers this Wednesday evening.
We thought it was going to be another speech on the royal wedding, recalling the pagentry of the royal occassion, but no! What a refreshing surprise to be taken on a virtual tour of Westminsted Abbey.
Colin regailed us with the 'architectural vandalism' and how the abbey was 'cluttered with monuments' with vivid imagery from the Scarlet Beast to William riding up the aisle. It was an exciting speech full of vision and passion.
