What is West Herts Speakers?
The West Herts Speakers Club (WHSC) is a club that helps people become confident communicators, whether it’s in front of a large audience or in one to one situations. We achieve this by using the tried and proven methods of our parent organisation ‘Toastmasters International’.
When and where do we meet?
We meet at the address on the right (see the map here) every 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month at 19:15 for a 19:30 start, all year round.
How does it work?
A member works their way through a manual of ten speeches at their own pace in a stress free environment. Each speech is designed to work on a facet of speaking in public and for each you are assigned an evaluator who will give detailed feedback and recommendations for improvement. Following a speech, the speaker is assigned an evaluator who gives detailed supportive feedback. By the time you’ve finished the tenth speech you’ll have a good training in public speaking and can then advance to a series of more demanding projects.
